The Gift of the Present
The Gift of the Present: always affordable, and unaffected by the price of gas
I know. Corny. But here's the thing: old anger, regret, resentment, guilt, and grudges all feed on the past.
"Why did I do that?!" "Why did I say THAT?" "Why didn't they do what they said they would?"
Maybe I'm the only one who drives myself nuts with those. (I know YOU probably don't) When we shift our attention to what's right in front of us, right now, all that crappola dissipates and even disappears because it doesn’t exist in the present.
So what's your favorite gift in the present in your personal life?
Pick a sense and be specific. The sound of your child's laughter. The crunch of a potato chip. The smell of rain. The sound of your partner's tires pulling into the driveway. The smell of their breath first thing in the morning? Okay, maybe not that one.
